Topic and Problem

Researchers have put various theories and models in place to explain the effectiveness of communication in the workplace. Scholars have consistently used theories such as the theory of learning types, the theory of reinforcement, the theory of experimental learning, and social learning theory to explain and expand on communication effectiveness in the workplace (Allen & Braun III, 2013).

This study aims to analyze various theories, models, and hypotheses to identify the relationship between communication effectiveness at the workplace and in the military. The research method that this paper tends to use is the quantitative design.

Topic

In any working environment, effective communication plays a significant role in enhancing working relationships and improving service delivery. There are two types of communication; informal communication and formal communication. The effectiveness of all these types of communication serves as an organization’s growth and success.

Problem Statement

There are problems in communication in the military and almost any workplace. Despite efforts to implement and encourage effective communication in the military service, many challenges exist.

This problem has negatively impacted service delivery in the military. It has also confused because the techniques used to pass information and inform military members about an issue are slow while others take too long to deliver the message.

A possible cause of this problem is faulty equipment and proper leadership in workplaces and military service. Perhaps a study investigating the effectiveness of communication in the military and corporate organizations by making theoretical analysis could remedy the situation.

Problem Statement

This study aims to develop a framework and identify various methods that leaders can use to enhance communication in their specific workplaces.

Research Questions and Strategy (Hypothesis)

The research question that this study tends to investigate is the effectiveness of theories and models in understanding the effectiveness of communication in the military and American corporate organizations. This study also investigates specific barriers to effective communication at the workplace and the implication of such barriers to organizational success. Some of the theories in this study include sociology theory, social learning theory, and reinforcement theory.

Literature Review

Many challenges encountered in navigating the work environment and affecting organizational leadership positive change hold true in being the key source of organizational success. Working with other people involves many upsides, especially in a team atmosphere. Working with different personalities can also become a challenge in a work environment.

Positive, influential communication is an essential part of a healthy work environment. The study of effective communication is a vital part of understanding human behavior. Effective communication influences relationships in the workplace. The outcome of any communication should promote positivity and affect the overall atmosphere and environment of the organization.

The environment can be between team members, two people, customers and employees, and higher-ups (Allen & Braun III, 2013). A good leader should not have to compel employees to work; they should be inspired and always convey a sense of trust among the team. If people understand the organizational goals and the importance of their contribution, they will always exceed the average work level.

Poor communication is a vast problem that presents significant issues in military services (Ford, 2015). Influential leaders are critical thinkers and encourage their staff to be equally the same and welcome feedback on presented ideas. Strong communication and relationships between an employee and a client will be crucial during service delivery because the client’s behaviors attach to employee support.

Strong attachment between the employee and the client is vital in ensuring the client’s security and safety.

Employees will be able to guide their clients against any form of abuse by empowering them to achieve their highest potential. Poor communication and relationship between the child and the support provider and between employees have led to all the anxieties, uncertainties, and stresses portrayed by employees in the assessment report (McLean, 2012)

Lack of conversations can build links to fall apart. Many people usually feel discouraged when they cannot find the answer they expect or struggle to obtain a solution.

The use of confusing words in a workplace can make assignments and jobs to be downright complicated. It also does more work and consumes much-needed time in the workplace. Miscommunication can be avoided through the implementation of modern communication networks in an organization to make commutation better.

Modern technology contributes immensely to the influence of communications and relationships to an organizational environment (RAMBA, 2013). The use of modern technology will influence the organization’s communication and behavior. Specific ways through which advanced technology will change the organizational communication and relationship include:

Modern technology,

such as mobile phones and teleconferencing, is one of the approaches that have helped improve communication and relationships in American corporate and military organizations.

The use of mobile phones and social media will influence behavior and communication in workplaces (Roach, Smith & Boutin, 2011). For instance, implementing modern technology in military service will affect soldiers in one way or another, like communicating their ideas, challenges, and experiences without being compromised.

Communication should be part of an organization. Organizations require considering education as part of their human development component whenever they set organizational goals. During radical changes in the life of an organization, communication is usually a critical element.

Communication is an instrument required to design, change, and the existing processes before introducing a new strategy into the organization. Management communication usually gains new

valence during structural changes (Snider, 2010). Efficient communication means to attach, vibrant, positive, favorable, and coherent image to the organization and oneself.

Besides, the policy also advocates ensuring the protection and security of the organization’s strategies and information to prevent unhealthy competition. As a senior leader, I would recommend that every employee provide a good workplace environment and promote
